Feyre's survival rests upon her ability to hunt and kill – the forest where she lives is a cold, bleak place in the long winter months. So when she spots a deer in the forest being pursued by a wolf, she cannot resist fighting it for the flesh. But to do so, she must kill the predator and killing something so precious comes at a price ...

Dragged to a magical kingdom for the murder of a faerie, Feyre discovers that her captor, his face obscured by a jewelled mask, is hiding far more than his piercing green eyes would suggest. Feyre's presence at the court is closely guarded, and as she begins to learn why, her feelings for him turn from hostility to passion and the faerie lands become an even more dangerous place. Feyre must fight to break an ancient curse, or she will lose him forever.

I read this book before and hadn't really fallen in love with it until now. When I read this book for the first time I was very new to the fantasy genre and it was confusing/new for me. But now that I have read more fantasy I really really loved this book.

This book follows Feyre, she is a strong badass heroine. She fights for her family, and she doesn't give up, even when you would expect her to. One day when she is out hunting she decides to kill a wolf. A the time she was suspicious that the wolf was fae, but she didn't know for sure. A couple days later she is visited by a high lord of the fae world and he is demanding that she come with him to repay the debt of killing his friend. Feyre is startled and scared, but she utimately decides to go with him because what else could she do.
Tamlin has lived for a very long time and has seen lots of the world. He doesn't really know what to think of Feyre. At first he is disgusted by her, but he grows to like her. When Feyre finds out that there is a curse put on Tamlin's people, she decides to stop at nothing to break it, even if it means dying in the process.

As I said earlier, I completely fell in love with this book. Earlier in the month of February I had read Crescent City by Sarah J. Maas and absolutely loved it. I knew when the fourth book came out that I should give the series another try, and I am so glad that I did. I fell in love with the characters and the vibe of this book. Definitely go pick this book up if you haven't already!
