The boy who always felt like mine is now the man I can't have…

Dig a little and you'll find photos of me in the bathtub with Ezra Stern.

Get your mind out of the gutter. We were six months old.

Pry and one of us might confess we saved our first kiss for each other.

The most clumsy, wet, sloppy . . . spectacular thirty seconds of my adolescence.

Get into our business and you'll see two families, closer than blood, torn apart in an instant.

Twenty years later, my "awkward duckling" best friend from childhood, the boy no one noticed, is a man no one can ignore.

Finer. Fiercer. Smarter.

Taken.

Tell me it's wrong.

Tell me the boy who always felt like mine is now the man I can’t have.

When we find each other again, everything stands in our way--secrets, lies, promises.

But we didn't come this far to give up now.

And I know just the move to make if I want to make him mine.

Kennedy Ryan did it again with Queen Move. This book broke my heart, opened my eyes to so many new things, and just made my love for Kennedy Ryan grow more. This book follows Kimba and Ezra. When the book first began we got bits and pieces of their past which I really appreciated. And we got to understand more of Kimba and Ezra's friendship. As the story progressed, Kimba and Ezra were torn apart. Fast forward years later to when they are both in their late thirties and trying to figure out life.

Kimba is fierce, sassy, funny, and a strong headed woman. She has been through a lot, with losing her father and finding  how she will fit in the political world without her best friend/business partner Lennix. She goes through lots of hoops to find her footing again.
Ezra is cinnamon roll, and just the sweetest guy ever. He was always the nerdy guy, and loved school. He has a son with another woman and is trying to navigate ending their relationship while also trying not to hurt their son. He loves kids and helping kids learn new things.
They both come back together at a ceremony for Kimba's father. They have this instant connection and chemistry. They both can't deny what they feel, but they are worried over people getting hurt from their actions.
This book was fucking great. I loved the angst, the chemistry, alllll of it. I just can't get enough of Kennedy Ryan. If you haven't picked this up yet do it!!!
